Wedgewood Service Day: Restoring Homes and Touching Lives in Dallas, Texas
Team members from Wedgewood’s Dallas office recently collaborated with Hearts & Hammers, a leading home restoration organization serving Minnesota and Texas communities, to provide essential exterior home improvement services, including repairs, painting, caulking, gutter repair, and landscape renewal for an elderly homeowner couple in need.
Wedgewood remains committed to their core purpose of revitalizing communities in which they work - By volunteering their time with trusted partners and recognized programs, Wedgewood employees embody their core value of being good neighbors to support various causes and contribute to localized efforts that make a significant difference in their communities. Wedgewood’s partnership with Hearts & Hammers was a perfect fit as the non-profit organization is dedicated to assisting low-income homeowners, particularly seniors, disabled individuals, veterans, and their surviving spouses, in maintaining their homes and ensuring they remain in good condition.
David Wehrly, Executive Vice President of Wedgewood, actively participated in the event and shared his perspective, stating “We believe that community revitalization extends beyond physical infrastructure; it also involves supporting the people who live there and it fosters a sense of belonging and pride among residents. Our Wedgewood team took great satisfaction in repairing and painting the exterior of the home for this homeowner in need. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Hearts & Hammers in making a positive impact in our communities.”
