It has been nearly 10 years since Jamie Bedner of Wedgewood Homes founded Maverick Design. During that time, her philosophy of the transformational power of home design has permeated the company’s culture while also helping her achieve many of her professional goals.

“Once I saw the value of transforming a tired house into a beautiful, modern home through design,” said Bedner, “I knew I had found my passion.”

In her recent interview with Modern Luxury, Bedner discusses her design philosophy and the role it has played in differentiating Wedgewood’s value proposition. Through Maverick Design, Bedner has made “high-end style at all price points” a key element of the strategy that has allowed the company to expand into more than 20+ states and counting.

Bedner takes a personal approach to design, centered on livability. She believes that “beautiful, functional design has the power to improve lives.”
